Free Will Agonist
Free Will Agonist is just one of many solo endeavors of artist J. Ard released under the label Pale Desert Recordings of Raleigh, North Carolina. Their works cover a wide array of genres, from ambient to black metal, and now progressive rock/alternative metal with the debut of Free Will Agonist. Taking influence from progressive greats such as Devin Townsend and Oceansize, the project's debut album Lifus Exitus takes after its name and tackles themes of leaving behind an old life and an old self in the pursuit of growth. From heavy, chugging riffs to gentle and melodic leads, Lifus Exitus tackles a wide variety of sounds, emotions, and moments of life in an epic, sprawling debut release.
